Motivation is a key part getting through day to day life. We all go through times of low motivation, especially at this time of the year when the last of the winter blues are still lingering! So, it’s important to find the inspiration which keeps you motivated regardless of what is happening around you.
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and 2016 Olympian Yusra Mardini is nothing short of inspirational and a role model to many. Take a look at her top tips for beating the last of the winter blues:
Set goals: Without realistic and achievable goals in mind, it’s hard to commit to the changes that are needed to get there, and a lot easier to give up. Find out what you want to achieve and set small goals, so you can see the progress and stay motivated for the next challenge.
Focus: Stay positive and don’t waste time thinking about obstacles. Remain focused and stick to your plan no matter what comes across your path, which is sometimes the more difficult option!
Reflection: Take a step back and look at what you’ve already achieved, it’s often more than you think! This will help you stay positive and boost motivation levels throughout the day to continue being productive.
