Adolfo Ramirez Morales has spent most of his professional career in Spanish banking. His time at Banesto saw him become General Director of Business and Organisation and Technology. He later went to Banco Santander. His time at the latter saw him direct the technology and operations area. His position was that of the Director Deputy General of the Group. He also filled a role as a member of its Management Committee.
Towards the end of 2017, Adolfo Ramirez Morales decided to leave the group although he continued his collaboration with them regarding innovation. He wished to get more involved in the ongoing changes resulting from digital disruption. The areas he placed his focus on include the business, social, and political spheres.
Besides sharing his findings on the impact of technology in its various spheres, Adolfo Ramirez Morales also advises CEOs, companies, startups, and various other stakeholders about the transformation or growth processes. He also promotes VIDA Silver. The platform focuses on the development of the Silver generation, i.e., people in the 55 to 75-year age group. In other words, on those who feel ‘too young to retire but too old to have a boss”.
Adolfo Ramirez Morales is also involved in education. He is a professor at the Instituto de Empresa in different Programs related to Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Leadership, and at The Valley DBS in the Senior Management and Learning Facilitator Program of MIT Professional Education in the Digital Transformation and Leadership in Innovation Programs. Amongst the organisations and institutions he collaborates with, he includes APD, the Excellence in Management Club, and Vodafone Business.
The bestselling author of ‘Digitize or Disappear’, Adolfo Ramirez Morales has also participated as the co-director of the White Paper for the Digitisation of SMEs promoted by CEOE-CEPYME-CAEJE that was presented in 2020.
Presently, Adolfo Ramirez Morales is investigating the impact of new technologies on organisations and society. He shares his experiences and ideas at conferences across the globe. He lives in Spain and speaks and presents in both Spanish and English.
