With over ten years’ experience in his field, Alberto Toribio is considered by many to be Spain’s #1 Blockchain influencer. Leading the Blockchain innovation unit at Bankia, Alberto not only promotes both Blockchain and digital assets projects, but he also heads initiatives aimed at transforming organizational culture.

His career has thus far seen Alberto Toribio work as a technology expert for government agencies in Spain. Amongst these, he counts the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Supreme Court. He has also worked for private firms such as Sony Entertainment and Telefonica R&D. Furthermore, Antonio has played a large role in leading big data projects for various companies like Stratio, as an example, as well as funded the first Bitcoin startup Coinffeine owned by a bank, i.e. Bankinter.

In 2014 Alberto Toribio went on to found a Blockchain consultancy firm. The firm focuses on creating projects and startups for major IBEX companies including the likes of Endesa, Ferrovial, and Bankia. His expertise in his particular field has led to him collaborating with such entities as the New York FED, the European Commission in Brussels, Europol in The Hague, the Spanish House of Representatives, and the Bank of Spain amongst many others.
