Andy Fitze, together with Dalith Steiger, is one of the co-founders and a managing partner of SwissCognitive. The Global AI Hub, founded in 2016, is one of the world’s leaders in providing solutions to issues relating to AI. The company’s core principle, ‘share for success’, provides a means of knowledge and experience sharing with regards to the development, outcome, and impact of cognitive technologies. Since its inception, SwissCognitive has connected to over 150 companies spanning 30 different industries that represent over two million employees.
Andy Fitze also serves as president of the Swiss IT Leadership Forum and the Service Management Partners. He is also a board member of ICTS Switzerland and SwissICT. Furthermore, he is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board and Speaker at the Berne University of Applied Sciences.
With regards to his education, Andy Fitze obtained a Dipl. El. Eng HTL EMRT Field Of StudyElectronic, Control & Measurement at Interstate University of Applied Sciences of Technology Buchs Switzerland in 1994, and an Executive MBA in General Management from the University of St.Gallen – Graduate School of Business, Economics, Law and Social Sciences in 2005. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT.
His previous work experience has seen Andy Fitze work as Group CIO of RUAG, a position that saw him as a member of the extended Group Executive Board and managing information technology both in a strategic and operational capacity. Prior to RUAG, he was responsible for IT governance at PostFinance. He also lectures at the Bern University of Applied Sciences.
During the course of his career, Andy Fitze has led numerous international projects and held various positions pertaining to IT and technical process automation. He has had roles seeing him responsible for strategy, architecture, risk, compliance and process management, and IT security.
In 2017, Andy Fitze received the Swiss CIO award, while his company, SwissCognitive, was one of the winners of the Swiss ICT Award 2017.
Andy Fitz has a passion for smart technologies. He often advises managers at both board- and senior levels with regards to digital transformation and has addressed audiences across the globe, including Boston, Davos, Zürich, Tel Aviv, and Brussels.
Andy Fitze, as a speaker, is fluent in German, English, and French.
