She made history as the first female flight instructor at Etihad in the Middle East, where she not only taught aspiring pilots but also inspired countless students with her expertise, skill, and determination. Beyond her work as an instructor, Diana is an accomplished aerobatic pilot, with an impressive portfolio of aerial performances and competitions. Diana’s keynote speech is about a serious emergency when she almost lost both engines on an Airbus 320 in Madeira airport. The topics that she revels in as she flies the audience through her career and flight are leadership and teamwork, operating in multicultural environments, problem solving and decision-making, effective communication, and last but not least, workload management with emphasis on stress and startle—building resilience.

Diana lives in Portugal and is fluent in Portuguese and English with an excellent working proficiency in Spanish.
