Falon Fatemi is not your typical entrepreneur. She did not attend a ‘top 5’ university, she is not an engineer, nor was she the best student at school. While most of the world’s high-tech companies are headed by young, smart male entrepreneurs, Falon is atypical.
Falon is the youngest person to be employed at Google on a full-time basis while her education credentials include a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship from Santa Clara University, California, and Imperial College, London.
Falon’s talent, ambition, and drive are what have contributed towards her success, accomplishments that have garnered national attention in the challenging world of high-tech business innovation.
Starting out as a full-time employee at just 19 years of age, she was instrumental in developing the company’s strategy into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She also, during this time, built up strategic partnerships at YouTube, and later, was a full-time consultant with startups.
Realizing the many missed opportunities on the web, Falon Fatemi founded Node, a San Francisco based startup. She and her talented team of ex-Google employees believe the web is about proactive, personalized recommendations. This they do by indexing the web, focusing on people and organizations as the critical ‘nodes’, while using artificial intelligence to match links between buyers and sellers, investors and investees, etc.
Has managed to provide strategic insights, guidance, and cutting-edge technology to people wishing to “find the right person at the right business at the right time with the right message. “
Falon ascribes her success to her upbringing. Born of Iranian parents who escaped the Iranian revolution in the 1970’s, she says of them that: “My parents’ experiences helped me recognize that my ability to choose my path was a blessing and not to be taken for granted.” Furthermore, she learned the value of hard work at a young age – “…I had to get a job (and not just any job—one that furthered my career) and work for every dollar I wanted to spend. So instead of working service jobs with my friends, I studied patent cases. Not a fun experience but the mentality of career-driven employment has stuck with me today.”
Besides her business interests, Falon Fatemi is a prolific online writer and is to be read in a number of entrepreneurial publications including Wired, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Venture Beat, and others. Falon uses her presentations and writing to highlight and bridge the gender gap in all areas of the high-tech industry.
Imminently articulate, Falon Fatemi, as a speaker, captivates and inspires her audiences with her clear presentations. Her vast knowledge and experience leave audiences asking questions and wanting more.
"The thing to know about Falon is this: If you are a startup trying to operate in Silicon Valley, build an insanely great product, raise money, forge partner relationships, and find talent, and you don't have a Falon, you'll need to invent one. And don't settle for a cheap imitation. Falon is the real deal...crazy smart, shrewd, insightful, numbers-driven...a true product-market-fit finder.
