Jason Silva sees himself as a “wonder junkie”. He is the Emmy-nominated host of National Channel’s Brain Games, which has seen the air in over a hundred countries and had the highest ratings in National Geographic’s history, and the host of the National Geographic Series Origins: The Journey of Humankind.
Jason is also the creator of “Shots of Awe”, a web series showcasing microdocumentaries that explores creativity, innovation, futurism, existentialism, technology, the human condition, and metaphysics. In a nutshell, a combination of Science, Art, and Philosophy. These videos have gained over 13 million views on the internet and gained the support of the likes of NASA, Richard Branson, and Ron Howard, to name but a few. Jason Silva was also responsible for the web series “Future of Us”. This series explored exponential technology and the future of humanity.
A presenter for the Emmy-winning Current TV, Venezuela-born Jason hosted, wrote and produced over 100 hours of original content from 2005 to 2011. His reason for leaving was to pursue a career in filmmaking and presenting and numerous events the world over.
As a speaker, Jason Silva has keynoted at numerous events, including Mexico’s Ciudad De Las Ideas, Chicago News Week, the PSFK Conference, The Economist Ideas Festival, The Tribeca Film Festival, Seatle’s Interactive Conference, and appeared on the main stage at both SXSW Interactive and the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.
