Speaking Topics
We are undergoing one of the most unbelievable events of our lifetimes under a government-ordered and enforced contraction of national economies on a global scale in order to slow the spread of – and ultimately prevail over – the deadly SARS-COV-2 virus.
Every near-time major conference, summit and event has been postponed or cancelled. However, we are confident that at the other end of this emergency, we will enter a “new-normal” national and global economy that offers rich and creative opportunities to thrive and prosper.
Given our expectation that the global economy will undergo fundamental post-pandemic shifts beginning the second half of this year, we are currently offering a geopolitical risk intelligence presentation – “The Next World: Geopolitical Risk and Global Strategies After the Crisis” – by geopolitical strategist John Sitilides.
John is diplomacy coordinator to the U.S. State Department (under contract) on Southern Europe and the Middle East, a frequent geopolitics and national security commentator on the U.S. and international media, and former Chairman of the Woodrow Wilson Center Southeast Europe Project. His national security and geopolitical intelligence presentations on global affairs and strategic supply chain disruptions deliver high-value knowledge and information to leadership audiences across the industrial, financial, technological and commercial event spectrum, helping them better understand, anticipate and mitigate geopolitical risk in a disrupted global business, industry and financial marketplace.
The new post-emergency global trade and security focus necessarily concentrates on what John envisions as the continued structural industrial and financial disengagement of the U.S. and Chinese economies, a process that will be significantly accelerated beginning in 2021, regardless of which party controls the White House and the Congress.
In addition to the strategic re-routing of global supply chains away from China to Latin America and Africa, and the federally-incentivized insourcing of critical U.S. national industries, John’s presentation includes substantial insight into the future of global 5G technology and cybersecurity competition. This will centre on new U.S. and Western strategies for addressing Beijing’s “Made in China 2025” agenda to achieve industrial independence and global market dominance of leading breakthrough technologies such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics, information technology and machine-learning.
The presentation also includes valuable insights into the probable collapse of the European Union, the Saudi-Russia oil price war against the U.S. domestic energy industry, and the anticipated increased flow of FDI into rebounding U.S. and other leading G20 markets.
John’s updated geopolitical risk intelligence presentation is a superior fit for client audiences seeking over-the-horizon insights and perspectives on global political affairs and international trade directions. As always, his presentation is delivered using a visually-compelling slide deck of maps, graphs, charts and world leader portraits – and zero text or bullet points – so it is richly informative and visually engaging for all audience members.
We can provide you a video of one of John’s keynote presentations, from November 2019, for your confidential review. You can also view 180+ of his TV news interviews on his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/JohnSitilides.
As an additional option in these turbulent times of financial uncertainty, given the intensified demand for geopolitical risk intelligence right now to help get finance, industry and business ahead of the end of this pandemic, John is also available in the immediate term for webcasts and conference calls with C-suite executives, boards of directors, or wider client, advisory and member audiences, at a discounted fee.
“I thought your presentation at GAIM Ops London was brilliant. As an enthusiastic observer of world events, I found your presentation to be the most concisely informative and interesting presentation I have probably ever heard on the world's current and future trouble zones.”
“The thoughtful, comprehensive, understandable and practical view you brought to the complex problems and issues revolving around geopolitics truly enlightened and engaged the audience at P&I’s Global Future of Retirement conference. Setting the tone on the second day of the event kept people talking, and your presentation was referred to numerous times by other speakers throughout the day.”
“Your presentation on the geopolitical landscape was riveting and universally well-received. The knowledge you shared will help immensely in continuing to strengthen our company’s global trade operations and compliance.”
“John Sitilides gave our keynote talk on geopolitical risks at the GAIM Ops Cayman event, a 500+ person event for COO/CCO/CFOs in the alternative investment industry. I’ve been working in conferences for five years and I can honestly say it was one of the best talks I’ve seen. John provided fascinating insights on geo-political issues including Russia, China, the Middle East, North Korea and Europe – using simple techniques like turning maps on their side to really bring a new perspective to understanding the issues and appreciating their significance on a whole new level. Mixed with cutting edge and up-to-date knowledge of the topics and latest political developments, and the fact John is an excellent and engaging speaker, made for a fascinating presentation. Our audience loved it. The room was packed and it’s been rated as a favorite session by many of the attendees. John is top of my list for any geopolitical analysis in the future.”
