Julian Birkinshaw, besides writing bestsellers, also regularly contributes to various publications. Amongst these are Sloan Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and Harvard Business Review. Regularly quoted in international media outlets like CNN, The Economist, BBC, Bloomberg Business Week, the Huffington Post, and The Times, Julian regularly speaks at business conferences around the globe, traveling to locations as diverse as Australia, Europe, the UK, and North America.
With regards to his education, Julian Birkinshaw holds a Ph.D. and MBA in Business from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and a BSc (Hons) from the University of Durham. A faculty member at London Business School for the last 18 years, he is the current Deputy Dean (Programmes) and Director of the Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
With regards to honours and awards, Julian Birkinshaw received an Honorary Doctorate from the Stockholm School of Economics. He was also ranked 43rd on the 2015 Thinkers 50 list of the most influential management thinkers in the world.
