    Koen Kas is very passionate about ending illness. In his words. He spent 15 years in Executive positions at 4 leading biotech companies. He was CSO of Oncology of Thrombogenics and helped to spin out Oncurious, which has obtained the license to start clinical trials with a pediatric brain tumour drug.

    However, his achievement does not stop here. Koen was the founding CEO  & OSA of Pronota, a protein biomarker company that offers personalized medicines for ovarian cancer, preeclampsia, cardio-renal failure, and sepsis. Mr. Koen has served as the Director of drug discovery at Galapagos, which is one of Europe’s leading life-sciences companies. He has also set up and directed the Cancer drug discovery program at Tibotec (currently Johnson and Johnson).

    His professional achievements are only paralleled by his academic ones. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Antwerp. Following that, he was appointed as a lecturer at Harvard University. He has 60 publications in international journals in the fields of cancer, biomarkers, human genomics, and proteomics.
