Manfred Kets de Vries is the Director and Co-founder of KDVI. He holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Amsterdam, an MBA and DBA from Harvard Business School, and trained in psychoanalysis by the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society and the International Psychoanalytic Association. His work focuses on the intersection of international management, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and dynamic psychiatry.
Manfred Kets de Vries’ areas of interest include leadership, career dynamics, executive stress, entrepreneurship, family business, succession, cross-cultural management, team building, coaching, and corporate transformation and change dynamics.
In addition to his role at KDVI, he is a Professor of Leadership Development and Organizational Change at INSEAD and the Founding Director of its Global Leadership Centre. He has also held professorships at McGill University, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Montreal, and Harvard Business School.

Manfred Kets de Vries is a prolific author. He has written, co-authored, or edited over 50 books and published over 400 scientific papers.
