Monty found his first Internet company back in 1998, and since then he co-founded several tech companies. He co-founded a future technology consultancy with offices in Beijing, Tokyo, Munich and New York. After his exit from the company in 2008, he became a business angel and investor.
Monty Metzger is the author of Mobile Future 2020 and the CEO of Ahead of Time, an innovation consultancy. He is considered a leading thinker on digital business and takes an anthropological approach to his work. This he does by scanning global trends, disruptive technologies, and consumer innovations and translating these into functional, usable, business strategies spanning multiple industries, including the field of healthcare. Monty founded his first internet company in 1998 and has since then embraced digital media, becoming a digital leader, future thinker, and trend scout.
A graduate in Business Administration and Electronic marketing, Monty used to run a global Trend Research Consultancy until he sold the company in 2008. He then initiated an open think tank in order to publish “Mobile Future 2020: A collaborative vision of the future of mobile media”. His book, “Digital Future”, is set for publication in 2018.
Monty’s current role sees him as a General Partner at Digital Leaders Ventures, where he invests in technology companies on a global scale. Part of his role sees him coaching institutions, governments, and startups on blockchain, crypto-technology, and Initial Coin Offerings. As Chairman at DigitalLeaders.co, he and his team take chief executive managers, corporate groups, and government delegations on customised learning journeys and tech tours to technology centers, including Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv, Beijing, Bangalore, and Tokyo.
With almost two decades under his belt as a professional Futurist Keynote Speaker, Monty focuses on global innovation and the economic and social impact of technology, advising both business and government leaders worldwide.
