    An innovation and competitive strategy consultant, futurist, author, and designer, Morinosuke Kawaguchi is the founder and CEO of Morinoske Co. Ltd. It is a creative future laboratory based in Tokyo, Japan.

    Regarded Japan’s foremost futurist, Morinosuke Kawaguchi serves as a strategy advisor to the Japanese government and several of the largest multinationals on the planet. These organizations adopted his strategies set out in his forecasting book Megatrends which has now branched out into a series.

    Morinosuke Kawaguchi has, since 2014, been an advisor to Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s Strategy Headquarters. Although first invited for his ideas on job creation and gaining foreign currency, he has since moved on to guide the government on other issues as well. For example, he has given guidance on the Japanese government’s science and technology policy-planning process while working with The National Institute of Science and Technology Policy. The latter is a national research institution under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. He has also been an advisor to the Nikkei BP Mirai Kenkyujou, the Nikkei BP Future Laboratory and Japan’s biggest publisher of business and technology magazines and books.

    A recognised leading authority on innovation and strategy, Morinosuke Kawaguchi assists companies in a wide range of industries, including the healthcare, automobile, electronics, and telecommunications fields. He has previously worked as a consultant at a technology film and an engineer at Japan’s biggest electronic equipment and machine manufacturer, Hitachi Ltd. He wrote over 35 patents for the company which saw him awarded one gold and two bronze awards.

    An award-winning author, Morinosuke Kawaguchi ‘s books have been translated into four different languages thus far. He also writes for various business publications. He was a visiting professor at the postgraduate programme at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and Doshisha Business School’s Global MBA course for many years.
