Pandit Dasa – Speaker

Pandit Dasa presents audiences with his research on Mindfulness, explaining the importance of leading by example and communicating mindfully while managing your emotions. He also teaches audiences various breathing and focusing exercises that they can implement both at home and in the office. His aim is to help people develop not only positive leadership qualities but to lower stress and anxiety while boosting productivity and emotional intelligence at the same time.

A feature of Pandit’s keynotes is the popular option to have his audiences spend the final 10 minutes of the keynote with their eyes closed in a state of mindfulness. Alternatively, Pandit can return to the mindfulness session later in the day following the keynote delivery.

As companies and organizations seek to rebuild both the social and performance of their teams, Pandit is extremely well placed to speak and guide groups through this process.

Workshop (3 1/2 hours): Creating a Mindful and Positive Workplace Culture

The growth and overall success of an organization is defined by its culture and leadership. A positive workplace culture enhances teamwork, collaboration and morale. As a result it boosts employee engagement, helps build greater rapport with clients and can lead to increased sales.

It is absolutely crucial for leaders to lead by example and create a workplace environment that not only encourages but also supports our mental, physical, and emotional well being so we can perform at a high level while taking care of ourselves, family and professional responsibilities.

This workshop will address the importance of creating an environment where ego battles aren’t driving the company down and where individuals are willing to put aside their own self-interest for the sake of the greater good. It encourages an environment where individuals are willing to appreciate the contributions of their co-workers instead of feeling threatened by them.

Pandit Dasa will share his personal journey on how and why he lived as a monk in New York City for 15 years and why he’s no longer a monk. He will also share his key takeaways from that experience such as how to close the apps in the mind and how to develop resilience during uncertainty and change.

During this interactive workshop, the audience will engage in discussion on the following topics focused on creating a mindful and positive workplace culture:

Self-care and Boundaries

  • What are we currently doing for our own self-care?
  • Where are we lacking and how can we improve upon it?
  • What boundaries have we created to maintain our work-life balance? • How can we improve the quality of our sleep
  • How are we encouraging and promoting work-life balance within the organization?

Appreciation

  • How often do we appreciate the contribution of our colleagues? • What methods do we use to express appreciation?
  • How appreciation can impact sales and client interaction
  • Can we identify individuals we need to appreciate that have been overlooked? • How to develop positive social connections in the workplace

Mindful Communication

  • Listening to deeply understand our clients and colleagues with empathy • How we listen to understand and not respond
  • Understanding our message and tone for effecting communication  • How to manage our emotions during challenging meetings

Mindfulness

The research on mindfulness will be shared. The audience will then be engaged in a  variety of secular breathing, focusing and gratitude exercise that can help lower stress,  anxiety and depression while improving clarity and productivity.

Following the exercise, the audience will engage in a discussion to determine the best  way to utilize the mindfulness practices in the workplace.

  • “Pandit joined our group of ~100 US and Canadian financial services marketers for our annual off-site. We were looking for a speaker to cover a non-business, personal well-being topic. Pandit delivered for us. He walked us through all the research that supports why mindfulness is important and it's impact on our health. He closed the session with a guided meditation. The reviews from our team were very positive. Pandit was not the typical speaker we hear at one of these meetings, but he was a welcomed change of pace. I'd happily recommend him to any organization looking for an expert on mindfulness.”
