A leading global strategy advisor and bestselling author, Dr Parag Khanna is the founder and CEO of AlphaGeo. This is a leading AI-powered geospatial analytics platform with a mission to future-proof global investing.

Parag Khanna is the bestselling author of seven books that have been translated into more than twenty languages. Named one of Esquire’s ’75 Most Influential People of the 21^st Century’, he has also been featured in WIRED magazine’s ‘Smart List’.

Named an inaugural YPO Leadership Fellow for the period 2022 to 2023, Parag Khanna provided strategic guidance to numerous chapters and communities of the YPO global network. The early 2010s saw him serve as an advisor to the US National Intelligence Council’s Global Trends Program. He also served as a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre on Asia and Globalisation at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore from 2013 to 2018. Other positions saw him work as a Senior Research Fellow at the New America Foundation, as a senior geopolitical advisor in Iran and Afghanistan for the United States Special Operation Forces, and as a Global Governance Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He also worked at the World Economic Forum in Geneva and as a Research Associate at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

He served on the Singapore government’s Committee on the Future Economy and sits on the UAE Ministry of Economy’s International Advisory Council.  Parag Khanna also serves as a senior advisor to Gulf Capital, a board member of the Out of Eden Walk, and a Henley & Partners’ advisory board member. He previously served on the Innovation Advisory Board of DBS Bank and Globality.

Parag Khanna holds a PhD in international relations from the London School of Economics and has been associated with prestigious institutions like the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, LSE IDEAS, European Council on Foreign Relations, and others. He has received grants from the United Nations Foundation, Smith Richardson Foundation, and Ford Foundation.

Personal Life And WEF Activities

Parag, born in India, grew up in the United Arab Emirates, New York, and Germany. He is an accomplished adventurer who has travelled to over 150 countries, driven across various terrains, climbed numerous peaks, and trekked in several mountain ranges. He is also a competitive tennis player.

A recognised Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Parag Khanna has served on several councils and advisory boards, including the WEF’s Global Future Council on Mobility. He holds memberships in various prestigious organisations and was awarded the OECD Future Leaders Prize in 2002.
