“The world of business has much to learn from the world of sport when it comes to unlocking our potential and achieving high performance in the workplace.
Sports serve as one of the most effective learning laboratories for training in leadership, strategy, teamwork and collaboration” – Ramón Calderón
Ramón presided over the period at Real Madrid when the ‘Galacticos’ were in decline and not performing with names that included; Zidane, Beckham and Ronaldo and Figo. The change of strategy that involved clearing out the world’s most recognised footballers, and rebuilding a team and its manager is fascinating. Coupled with the fierce rivalry with FC Barcelona and both teams’ bitter desire and effort to win at all costs.
