Known as an expert on platform economics and network effects, Sangeet Paul Choudary is a business scholar, entrepreneur, advisor, and author. In this regard, his work on platform economics was selected as one of Harvard Business Review’s top 10 management ideas three times.
The author of several books covering his field of expertise, his book Platform Revolution was ranked an international best-seller and a must-read by Forbes in 2016.
Due to his contributions towards the field of platform economics, Sangeet Paul Choudary was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2017. This was pre-empted by his appointment to the World Economic Global Future Council on Platforms and Systems in 2016.
Other awards and accolades include his being ranked one of the top 50 business thinkers of Indian origin by Thinkers50 in 2015 which was followed by his ranking among the top 30 management thinkers globally the next year. Sangeet Paul Choudary was also named one of those selected as having the top 10 management ideas by Harvard Business Review in 2017. This was followed, in 2019 and 2020 respectively, as selected as putting forth one of the top 10 publications on business model innovation ever published and as one of the top ten strategy publications ever published.
Sangeet Paul Choudary is currently an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the INSEAD Business School and co-chair of the MIT Platform Strategy at the MIT Media Lab. Furthermore, he is a research fellow at the New York-based think tank Global Enterprise.
