James Whittle and Tom Caulfield make up the two halves of The Tempest Two, two men experienced in content marketing who one day decided to embark on a life of adventure. This led to them completing three challenges in the space of one year – rowing across the Atlantic, climbing Mont Blanc, and riding from London to The Sahara on motorbikes. All this without any of the necessary experience one would normally have when embarking on this type of lifestyle!
The Tempest Two’s Atlantic crossing saw them in a rowboat, rowing from Puerto Mogan in the Canary Islands to Barbados in the Caribbean. The 3,000-mile journey saw the two, who had no prior rowing experience, complete one of the toughest challenges on earth unaided. Their only rowing experience thus far had been the rowing machines in their living rooms to build up strength.

It was while sitting out a hurricane that the dynamic duo worked on their business plan and subsequently launched “The Tempest Two” upon completion, and resigned from their ‘normal’ jobs. The team intends on taking on four trips per year while promoting certain brand names and perhaps taking others along for the ride.

The two beginners undertook and succeeded at three amazing feats that are not tackled by those who are faint of heart. As with their Atlantic crossing, both their Mont Blanc and Sahara expeditions saw them filming and commenting on the experience, gaining them a wide audience in the process.
