Multitalented Professor Vikas Shah MBE is an educator, investor, thinker, and serial entrepreneur. He is a man who has built various businesses in a number of diverse sectors across the globe for approximately twenty years. To add to this, he is both a consultant and advisor, helping entrepreneurs, businesses, and organisations gain traction and grow on a worldwide scale. His background in business has made Prof. Vikas Shah one of the United Kingdom’s highest profile entrepreneurs and business commentators while holding Professorships at both MIT Sloan and the University of Manchester.
Vikas is a member of the UK Industrial Development Advisory Board, Board Advisor on Digital Strategy to the British Council, and Board Member of the General Medical Council. He is also the CEO of Swiscot group, a venture investor in technology startups and businesses internationally, and also co-founder of 53 Degrees North, a feature film studio. His MBE was awarded for Services to Business and the Economy.

Vikas Shah, besides his business and teaching commitments, is an award-winning writer, with his journal, Thought Economics, featuring conversations with numerous world leaders, thinkers, artists, entertainers, and creators. Amongst those interviewed, he counts the likes of Buzz Aldrin, Will.I.Am, Bear Grylls, HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, Ed-Catmull, and Ed-Catmull, as well as approximately twenty Nobel Prize Winners and both Presidents and Prime Ministers of different nations. He has featured in diverse media, including The Guardian, The Economist, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, BBC, and CNBC, amongst many others. Vikas is also a published poet. His poems, published in 2007 and titled 3650, was the result of his ten-year fight with depression.

A philanthropist at heart, Vikas Shah is Chairman of the Board at Future Everything and Chairman of the Board at In Place of War, as well as a trustee at Mustard Tree and a board member of TiE UK North.
Vikas Shah attended Manchester University, Manchester Business School, Cambridge Judge Business School, and ICMA Centre. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacture, and Commerce, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Amongst his numerous clients, Vikas includes Barclays, HSBC, ALTO, Clariant, and a host of others.
